Grey Global Group, the parent of MediaCom Worldwide, Friday reported a pre-tax profit of $9.4 million for the third quarter of 2004, an increase of 74.4 percent over the third quarter of 2003.
Revenues rose 10.3 percent to $33.5 million. The company attributed the increase to the impact of a weaker dollar on Grey's European operations. European revenues soared 18.2 percent vs. a rise of
only 3.4 percent in North America. Through the first nine months, Grey's revenues rose 13.1 percent to $123.8 million. Grey is poised to close a deal to be acquired by WPP Group early next year.
