King World Productions has renewed Dr. Phil's syndicated talk show for three more years, through the 2008-09 season. And as if that weren't enough for Dr. Phil to be thankful for, his show is also
moving into five large markets to stations owned by Viacom, King World's parent.
Starting in 2006, Dr. Phil will move into Los Angeles, from KNBC to KCBS (Viacom); Chicago, from WMAQ to WBBM
(Viacom); Detroit, from WDIV to WWJ (Viacom); Miami-Fort Lauderdale, from WFOR to WPLG; Pittsburgh, from WTAE to KDKA (Viacom); and Baltimore, from WBAL to WJZ (Viacom).
