Leading Online Publishers Selling New Unicast Format

Unicast said CondéNet, Discovery iMedia, Forbes.com, MaxOnline, and Weather.com have begun to sell its new Video Commercial format as a premium ad unit. Unicast introduced the 2MB, 30-second ad unit last month. "The new ad format fits in well with our overall selling strategy, to provide advertisers with engaging programs that reach our discriminating audience, while enhancing the overall user experience," said Sarah Chubb, President- CondéNet, in a statement. CondéNet recently launched an online campaign with the Unicast ad unit on Style.com for advertiser David Yurman. "We believe that this advertising unit will prove to be a very effective way for advertisers to communicate their messages to consumers," said Paul Iaffaldano, senior vice president of network sales and advertising product development for The Weather Channel. "We also think that those consumers will enjoy the ads and be entertained by them."
