Forbes Drops Ad Embeds

Forbes.com recently put an end to a four-month experiment of embedding ad links in editorial content, due to fears among the editorial staff that the ads compromised the appearance of editorial independence. The ad links had been provided by San Francisco- and London-based Vibrant Media, using IntelliTXT technology, and listings were sold through Yahoo!'s Overture Services.
