Online publisher TechTarget Inc. bought Bitpipe Inc. for $40 million cash last week. Both companies market to corporate technology buyers. Bitpipe, based in Boston, distributes technology-related
white papers by vendors, for which it charges the vendors a fee starting at $10,000 a quarter, while Needham, Mass.-based TechTarget specializes in conferences and publications dealing with corporate
technology.
