MediaVest Taps New Team For P&G

MediaVest will expand the communications planning team on the Procter & Gamble account next week when the Starcom MediaVest Group unit names Kimberly Lyons as innovation director. Separately, Jeffrey Graham has joined MediaVest as research director on the P&G business, from a director at Dynamic Logic.

Lyons comes to MediaVest from Revlon, where she served as integrated marketing and Internet manager for the beauty company. Lyons will begin work in the new communications channel planning gig on January 4. MediaVest did not return calls or an e-mail inquiry seeking comment.

Lyons, who worked on Revlon's Almay, High Dimension, and Revlon brands, is initially expected to concentrate on health and beauty for all P&G brands in the new position at MediaVest. At Revlon, Lyons was responsible for championing and implementing the beauty company's interactive media and marketing programs including AOL's "Revlon on the Red Carpet" and an extensive broadband advertising effort with Microsoft's MSN Video Service. Lyons led strategy and planning for all of Revlon's interactive programs.

She has been a staple at interactive media events and conferences, and was a judge of the Online Media, Marketing and Advertising awards sponsored by MediaPost and the Interactive Advertising Bureau last fall. Prior to Revlon, Lyons held interactive marketing positions at Estée Lauder, Kmart, NBC, and PC World.
