Here's the (maybe) story of the origins of the Doritos brand. It happens at Disneyland, essentially an extended experiment in brand engineering. When it
first opened, it featured a Mexican-themed restaurant called Casa de Fritos run by the Frito company. It was on New Orleans Street near Aunt Jemima’s Pancake House. The Casa de Fritos invented
the Dorito.
