Local McDonald’s franchisees are a debuting a new ad
campaign called “Good Morning Boston,” which promotes the chain’s breakfast offerings.
The campaign is the first local work from the franchise
group’s new ad agency H&L Partners of San Francisco, which just opened an eight-person office in Boston.
One broadcast spot from the campaign was filmed at the MBTA Aquarium Station. The ad shows McDonald’s employees surprising “real people” with hot
McDonald’s breakfasts, a press release on the campaign said.
“The strength of this campaign is in its simplicity,” Mark Schaeffer, president of H&L
Partners, said in a statement. “Delivering a nice surprise in the form of a hot cup of McCafé coffee or an Egg McMuffin sandwich in the midst of the morning routine reminds consumers how
great breakfast at McDonald’s is every day.”
In a separate statement, McDonald’s franchisee Steve Walach added,
“”The smiles delivered as a result of this campaign are genuine and organic.”
