The crowdsourced app-testing outfit uTest, which raised a cool $43 million in
Series E funding back in January, has rebranded as Applause. And on top of that, it’s bought a German competitor, Testhub. Given the widespread, hard-to-predict user base that mobile apps can
attain, not to mention the variety of devices out there, quality assurance testing can certainly benefit from the crowdsourcing approach.
