Most Mobile Consumers Shop Online, Says Study

A new report says that more than 70 percent of mobile consumers shop online, and about half purchase regularly, while 20 percent browse online then make a purchase in a physical store. The report also shows that mobile is as important as PCs in driving the changing consumer shopping behavior. In addition, a survey on UK m-commerce released this month shows that safe shopping online on a mobile device is a necessity for these consumers. Conducted by xAd and Telmetrics, the survey reveals while most people in the UK have desktop or laptop computers, 60 percent choose to use their smartphone when browsing and shopping online around the house. In addition, 46 percent said they would prefer to use their smartphone to make a purchase over any other platform.
