Buick had an image problem, but thanks to a raft of new products and especially a slate of humorous, somewhat self-deprecating ads, the brand is enjoying a resurgence, in spite of
the fact it doesn't have launches this year. The ads, with a “doesn’t look like a Buick” theme, has helped drive up sales 8% through August compared to just 2.8% for all of GM. Last
month alone Buick rolled out five ads for, respectively, the Encore, Regal, Enclave, Verano and LaCrosse.
