JOSEPH WILLIAMS & KARIM ABAY: TRACE

TRACE magazine has named JOSEPH WILLIAMS new general manager of the magazine. The magazine also announced the appointment of KARIM ABAY as senior director of advertising. In his new position, Williams will be responsible for managing the overall profitability of the magazine and focus on finance, circulation and operations. As head of the advertising department, Abay will focus on strengthening TRACE’s position in the marketplace as a TRANSCULTURAL Style and Ideas magazine. Formerly senior account manager at Out and The Advocate magazines, and prior to that director of print sales at Silicon Alley Reporter, Abay is credited with increasing advertising revenue and successfully managing relationships with top liquor, home, high tech, and automotive clients. In his new role at TRACE, Abay looks to bring more fashion and beauty advertisers to the magazine.
