Tinder Downplays Lawsuit Over Fees

Dating app Tinder says a potential class-action lawsuit centered on the new monthly fees is “downright silly,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The IAC-owned company recently started charging users under age 30 $9.99 a month for the service; older users must pay $19.99. The lawsuit, by user Billy Warner, accuses Tinder of pulling a bait-and-switch by drawing users with free features, and then turning around and charging for the service, THR reports.
