EchoStar Communications Corp, the No. 2 U.S. satellite television company, named former Janus Capital Chief Financial Officer

federal filing on Tuesday. Effective Dec. 30, Goodbarn, who served as Janus CFO from 1992 through late 2000, filled a new slot on the board of EchoStar, which operates the Dish Network with over 8
million subscribers. Earlier this month, the company expanded its board to 10 members from nine.
