CBS To Announce New Lineup At Upfront

At CBS's upfront presentation, later today in New York, the network will announce seven new series as part of its new fall lineup.

CSI: Miami (Monday, 10:00 p.m.) starring David Caruso (NYPD Blue), will be a Miami-based crime drama, modeled after CSI, CBS's top show this season.

Without a Trace (Thursday, 10:00 p.m.) is a procedural drama about the Missing Persons Squad of the FBI.

Hack (Friday, 9:00 p.m.), will be about an ex-cop turned taxi driver after he's thrown off the force.

RHD/LA (Friday, 10:00 p.m.) is a drama about the homicide division of the Los Angeles police department.

The network is also introducing two new comedies, Still Standing (Monday, 9:30 p.m.), about a Chicago couple trying to raise three children, and Bram and Alice (Sunday, 8:00 p.m.), about a relationship between a novelist and a devoted fan, who suddenly learn they are father and daughter.

Leslie Moonves, president and CEO of CBS, touts "the best lineup of 10:00 p.m. dramas we've had in years," which distinguishes the network's offerings from ABC's, which is pushing a comedy hour from 8:00 to 9:00 every night of the week.

CBS will return 17 primetime programs, including 11 entertainment series, two reality shows, the CBS Sunday Movie and three news magazines. Shows like Raymond, CSI, Judging Amy and 60 Minutes will return.

Two mid season shows have also been added: Queens Supreme, a courtroom drama starring Oliver Platt, and Baby Bob, a returning comedy.
