The U.S. restaurant business saw a 1.8% same-store sales growth in the second quarter, according to TDn2K’s Black Box Intelligence through The Restaurant Industry Snapshot for
June. The data, based on weekly sales from over 22,000 restaurant units representing $55 billion dollars in annual revenue, has a not so silver lining: the increase represents a 1.1% slowdown from the
growth rate reported for the first quarter.
