The mayonnaise must abide. The Food and Drug Administration is warning the makers of “Just Mayo,” a vegan-friendly spread, that it can’t call itself mayo because
mayonnaise contains eggs, which its product does not. Hellmann’s parent Unilever didn't pursue a suit it filed against “Just Mayo” maker Hampton Creek over the eggless product. It
wants Hampton Creek to “address its label directly with industry groups and appropriate regulatory authorities.”
