Nielsen Reports 25 Percent Increase In Holiday E-Shopping

Nielsen//NetRatings, Goldman, Sachs & Co., and Harris Interactive's Holiday eSpending Report revealed Monday that online shoppers in the United States spent $23.2 billion during the 2004 holiday season, rising 25 percent from the $18.5 billion spent online during the same time frame in 2003. The 2004 eSpending report showed that overall, the majority of online consumers were satisfied with this season's Web shopping experience. In addition, 30 percent of respondents felt this year's online shopping was better than last year's.
