Whole Foods Invests In Emerging Restaurant

Whole Foods Market Inc. has made a minority investment in Mendocino Farms, the first restaurant partnership for the natural and organic grocery chain in recent history, Mendocino Farms officials told Nation's Restaurant News. The partnership will help the 11-unit, better-sandwich chain build infrastructure as it expands into the San Diego and San Francisco Bay Area markets in late 2016.
