IGN Entertainment, publisher of video games and entertainment Web sites, Tuesday announced that Dale W. Strang has joined the company as executive vice president and general manager of IGN's media division. In this position, Strang will oversee advertising sales, marketing, and the production of editorial content for all IGN Entertainment's media properties, which include IGN.com and GameSpy.com.

Strang has spent more than 18 years in the consumer, technology, and video game publishing industries. Strang comes to IGN after 8 years at Ziff Davis Media, where he served as CEO and senior vice president of the game group. During his tenure, Strang oversaw product launches and acquisitions, and directed his group in terms of market share, revenue, and profits. --R.F.
