Toys 'R' Us Closing New York Flagship

Bye-bye to the big Times Square store with the Ferris wheel inside. The 110,000 square-foot toy giant is going the way of FAO Schwarz, which closed in July. The company plans to shutter by the end of the month. Toys ‘R’ Us decided not to renew its lease for the building. The official doors-shut date is Dec. 30. But, per a rep, it is looking for a new Manhattan space.
