For Volvo, Autonomous Car Means Death-Proof Car

According to data from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Volvo XC90 is one of nine vehicles in which no one in the United States has died in at least four years. The automaker, a unit of China's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, wants to make this the case for its entire vehicle line-up throughout the world, partly through a suite of autonomous-driving technologies.
