Mobile publisher Airborne Entertainment announced Thursday that it would bring the popular "for Dummies" self-help series to mobile phones and devices, including titles like "Success for Dummies" and
"Poker for Dummies." The Montreal, Canada-based company inked the deal with "For Dummies" publishers Wiley Publishing Inc. to retool their popular series for mobile phone users. The deal includes 16
of the more popular versions, including the "Middle East for Dummies," "Quitting Smoking for Dummies," and "Living Longer for Dummies."
Airborne plans to distribute the mobile-enabled titles
through wireless carriers across North America. Thus far, only Verizon Wireless has signed up to carry the titles, but Airborne President Andy Nulman said he does not anticipate a problem getting
other carriers onboard. "This is an incredibly well-known brand, so we're not really worried about this one," he said. Airborne's other wireless content--including photos from Maxim, wine
guides from "Wine Spectator," and recipes from the Food Network--are distributed by all major wireless carriers in North America, Nulman said.
