Attention, KBS' social media agency, hired Asif Khan as vice president of strategy & analytics; Tim Gunatilaka as director of content; and Ben Krantz as creative director.
Kahn will be
responsible for educating the agency on how data and creativity are inextricably linked. Prior to Attention, Khan led the strategy department at VICE Media's Carrot Creative where he helped the agency
secure several pieces of new business, including Chipotle and several Unilever brands.
Gunatilaka previously served as associate director of content and social strategy at KBS, where he helped
launch the digital magazine IQ by Intel, among other branded content platforms. Before that, he was head of content innovation at OMD. Earlier in his career, Gunatilaka was a journalist for
Entertainment Weekly, SPIN and Paper Magazine.
Krantz previously served as associate creative director at Tribal Worldwide and Publicis, working with clients like
Mercedes-Benz, American Express, Citibank and P&G.
"Asif, Tim and Ben all have deep social and content roots but provide a broader purview of the marketing landscape, which is important to
us as we continue to innovate for and with our clients," said Tom Buontempo, president of Attention.
