Rep. Nancy Pelosi's Leadership Contested By Rep. Tim Ryan

With the Democratic Party in disarray, longtime leader in the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi is having her leadership position contested by Ohio Representative Tim Ryan. Pelosi publicly declared victory on Thursday, saying she had the support of more than two-thirds of the Democratic caucus. Ryan said he hoped to “bring a new voice into leadership” and will test Pelosi’s claim in a secret ballot vote on November 30.
