On the Monday after Trump’s travel ban, Google’s homepage Doodle celebrates Fred Korematsu, a civil rights activist who fought against the internment of Japanese Americans
during the Second World War. While Google appeared to be warming to the Trump camp, today’s doodle is a clear rejection of that policy. The company also pledged $4 million to support four
nonprofits fighting the executive order; monies are partly from the company, which will match employee contributions.
