BBDO Atlanta promoted Peter Bunarek from executive vice president and general manager to managing director.

In his new role, Bunarek will partner with Robin Fitzgerald, chief creative officer, to oversee the 200+ person shop. The changes follow the departure of Drew Panayiotou, president and CEO of BBDO Atlanta, who is leaving the agency for a role with Chick-fil-A in Atlanta.

"Peter has been a vital member of the BBDO Atlanta management team for the past 10+ years since joining BBDO in 2006," said Chris Thomas, CEO, BBDO the Americas. "We are fortunate to have someone of Peter's business experience, likability and familiarity with the agency to step into this new position. Together with Robin, we know they will be able to build on the positive momentum established by the whole team over the past several years."
