Appliance seller Hhgregg Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection, the latest retailer brought down by declining traffic. The filing comes just days after store-closing sales were launched at 88 of its
retail locations. The company said last week it was cutting about 1,500 jobs. The closures will leave Hhgregg with 132 stores nationwide by mid-April.
