Search Ad Spending Estimates Accelerate

Paid online search advertising will grow 40 percent to $5.4 billion in 2005, according to a revised projection released Monday by eMarketer. The revision was prompted by last week's Interactive Advertising Bureau report on 2004 online spending. eMarketer previously forecast that paid search would reach only $4.7 billion in 2005. -- Wendy Davis
