Wal-Mart Stores is negotiating a deal to buy Bonobos, a fashion-forward menswear brand, for about $300 million, sources told The Wall Street Journal. The deal would be the
retailer’s latest attempt to attract wealthier shoppers. Other recent acquisitions have included Jet.com, ModCloth and Moosejaw. The
company also wants the talent and product expertise the new employees provide, executives say.
