Uber Tried To Outsmart Apple But Failed

Back in 2015, Uber thought it had pulled a fast one on Apple by camouflaging the ride-hailing app so Apple would not find out that Uber had been secretly identifying and tagging iPhones even after its app had been deleted and the devices erased, which violated Apple’s privacy guidelines. But Apple was onto the deception and threatened to pull Uber from the App store if Uber didn’t stop the trickery.
