Apple plans to create a $1 billion fund to cultivate domestic manufacturing jobs. As CNBC reports, CEO Tim Cook announced the commitment on the network’s show, “Mad Money,”
on Wednesday. “Apple will announce the first investment later in May,” CNBC reports, adding: “It
fits into Apple’s larger effort to create jobs across its spectrum, from its own employees to app developers to its suppliers.”
