Magazine publisher Modern Luxury is launching an edition for Palm Beach and hired Jamie Altschul as publisher and Jayne Chase as editor-in-chief.
Modern Luxury Palm Beach’s debut issue arrives this December. The magazine will publish eight times a year with a circulation of 30,000 copies, available at the city's cultural centers, hotels, retail shopping districts and events.
Modern Luxury has several editions in Florida, including Ocean Drive, Miami, Interiors South Florida and Modern Luxury Weddings South Florida & the Caribbean, as well as its custom title, Art Basel magazine.
The media company publishes 84 titles in 24 U.S. markets.
Prior to joining Modern Luxury, Altschul served as executive director for GQ and The New Yorker under Z Media and was the national account director at JES Media, publisher of Boca Magazine and Worth Magazine.
She was also WSJ magazine’s launch publisher and executive director at Conde Nast Media Group, launched Town & Country Travel and held senior roles at a variety of other titles, including Vanity Fair and Town & Country.
As editor-in-chief, Chase will ensure the magazine serves “the needs of the educated, affluent, culturally aware and socially conscious residents and visitors of Palm Beach," per a statement.
Chase will be responsible for finding contributors to “showcase the influencers and taste-makers” of the region.
Chase began her career at Conde Nast’s Glamour and Vanity Fair before moving to Hearst Publications, where she served as the international editor at Harper’s Bazaar. She then became the communications director at J. Crew and cohost on the "Martha Stewart Morning Living Radio Show" on Sirius. She also hosted her own radio show called “A Fashionable Life."
