Delta's New Service Animal Policy Causes Concern

The National Federation of the Blind is “deeply concerned” about Delta’s new service and support animal policy. The policy fails to make a clear distinction among guide dogs, other service and support animals and pets, the group says. The new policy requires that guide dog users submit paperwork to Delta 48 hours before flying, making it impossible for guide dog users to fly Delta in family, medical or other emergencies.
