Adware company 180solutions has settled a lawsuit against one of its distributors, online advertising company Internext Media Corporation, 180solutions said Wednesday. Internext, which did not admit
wrongdoing as part of the settlement, will pay an undisclosed amount of money to 180solutions, which the adware company will donate to the advocacy group Center for Democracy and Technology.
180solutions had sued Internext last year, claiming that one of Internext's partners, Aztec Marketing, S.A., for allegedly distributing 180solution's adware without obtaining users' consent.
