Clear Channel Radio, Black Enterprise Partner For Business Programs

Clear Channel Radio and Earl G. Graves Ltd., the parent company of Black Enterprise magazine, announced on Thursday that they would collaborate to produce business and lifestyle programs geared towards African-Americans on 29 Clear Channel stations in the United States beginning on Aug. 15.

The project, which will be broadcast under the title "Keys to a Better Life," will begin as a twice-daily report introduced by show business luminaries and produced and voiced by Black Enterprise's editorial team. Appearing on many urban stations with a largely black listenership, the programs will cover topics such as how to nurture a 401k and how to go about purchasing a first home.

"We're always trying to reach our audience and provide them with the information they need," said Andrew Wadium, media relations manager at Black Enterprise. "We had wanted to go multimedia for some time, and this is a great way for Black Enterprise to send out its message of wealth-building home ownership and closing the prosperity gap."

Black Enterprise was founded in 1970 and draws some 3.8 million monthly readers. Clear Channel Radio, involved in both radio broadcasting and syndication, claims more than 110 million listeners to its programming each.
