Symantec Corp. has introduced a product to block advanced email-phishing attacks. 

Email Threat Isolation protects firms against spear phishing, credential theft, account takeover and ransomeware attacks, the company says.

In addition, the cloud-based technology isolates suspicious links to risky web pages and reduces risks within messaging applications, it adds.  

"Despite significant efforts by our industry to detect and block email-borne threats, messaging remains the primary vector for malware and scams within the enterprise,” states Greg Clark, CEO of Symantec.
