Lord & Taylor Faces More Difficulties

Lord & Taylor’s 104-year-old flagship store on Fifth Avenue is scheduled to launch a “store closing” sale on Thursday. The upscale retailer “will hawk deals on fashions and accessories throughout the holidays before the store shuts down for good,” according to the New York Post. The 11-story building will become a WeWork shared workspace location. The retailer’s 45 other locations will remain open, according to owner Hudson’s Bay Co.
