Sunset Publishing is set to release a one-time special issue publication targeting consumers passing through their twenties, it was announced this week. The title, dubbed
Living 101, is slated
to go on sale Aug. 9.
Designed for Generation Y readers, which represent the biggest demographic in the United States since the Baby Boomers, Living 101 will address issues such as
living on one's own for the first time, finding a job, and finding a mate.
In a press release, Sunset Publishing said that they hoped the publication would speak to "that important period of
adult life before homeownership (and) before parenthood."
If the trial issue of Living 101 is viewed as a success, Sunset will consider granting it a regular publishing run, the company
said.
Southern Progress Corporation, Sunset's parent company, is a subsidiary of Time Inc. based in Birmingham, Alabama, and publishes Southern Living, Cooking Light, and Progressive
Farmer, among other titles.
