Tinder, which has attracted several brands as in-app advertisers, is “uberizing” the app with a “swipe surge” feature. “Now when usage on the app spikes, such as during
music festivals or spring break, Tinder will let users know, increasing their chances of making a match,” according to
L.A. Biz. “The company said that during surges, activity can
increase up to 15 times the normal rate.”
