Twilio, soon to be the parent of email provider SendGrid, has named Chee Chew as chief product officer.

Chew will be part of Twlio's executive management team. He will report to co-founder and CEO Jeff Lawson.

In his previous post, Chee served as vice president of consumer engagement at Amazon, where he was responsible for the core shopping experience on the web and mobile apps.

Chew also has held the title of vice president of engineering at Google, and has worked at Hewlett Packard and Microsoft.

“As an engineer by trade, I’m extremely passionate about helping Twilio continue to build APIs and SDKs that will empower developers,” Chew states.
