
MyersBizNet, parent
company of MediaVillage and The Myers Report, announced an expansion to its team with eight new hires.
John Bishop, Jeff Minsky and Larry Novenstern will take new
leadership roles within the company, while Yijie Zhu, Paul Keegan, Hayley Ann Virgil, Amanda Keaton and Steven Tsakanikas will boost its research, content and social marketing team.
Bishop
comes to the company with two decades of marketing research and strategy experience and a deep knowledge of B2B strategies.
As MyersBizNet’s new head of media insights and research
for The Myers Report, he will be responsible for delivering B2B industry insight taken from Myers’ syndicated and custom research studies. Prior to joining the company, Bishop worked
at Ogilvy, System1 Research, Digitas, MediaCom and GfK.

Joining MyersBizNet as its editor-lead analyst for The Myers Report, Minsky will work to expand the market insights and
intelligence delivered to the MyersBizNet more than 120 member companies. Previously, Minsky was Omnicom Media Group’s director of emerging media investment and its national director of emerging
media.
He also founded the NEXT Emerging Media Consortium and held roles at DeWitt Media, Ogilvy & Mather, Rapp Digital and Unruly.
Novenstern will lead as MyersBizNet’s
director of marketing partnerships. Bringing 40 years of experience building partnerships with brand marketers, agencies and media companies, Novenstern is recognized for building sports-marketing
partnerships as a senior executive at BBDO.
Prior to that, he worked in media buying at D’Arcy and J. Walter Thompson. He has also held positions at Deutsch, Inc and Optimedia
International.
Separately, longtime B2B editor Howard Burns has been named the first EIC of Marijuana Business Daily(MJ BizDaily).
Burns, who was previously an
editor and editorial director at The Hollywood Reporter and EIC of the Pittsburgh Business Times, NJBIZ and Moving Pictures magazine, will oversee all
editorial for MJBizDaily.
That includes the MJBizDailywebsite, MJBizDaily International, Hemp Industry Daily, Marijuana Business
Magazine and the company’s annual Marijuana Business Factbook and industry reports.
Chris Walsh, founding editor-vice president of MJBizDaily, stated Burns
will “use his expertise to elevate our news, analysis and market research..”
