A major league baseball strike could derail the program, but Budweiser is teaming up with the Texas Rangers for the benefit of Latino students in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. Budweiser Homerunazo! is
a scholarship campaign in which Anheuser-Busch will donate $100 to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) for every home run hit by the Rangers during home games this season, and as of August 30th, the
home team has had 109 home runs. The HSF is the nation's largest Hispanic scholarship organization. The final check presentation (scheduled) will be during the Texas Rangers vs. Anaheim Angels game at
the Ballpark in Arlington September 26. Other Major League Baseball teams participating in the 2002 Homerunazo! program include: Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers,
Florida Marlins, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and San Diego Padres.
