P&G's Gillette Defends 'Venus' Post, Plus-Size Model

>Social media continues to bring out the worst in people, as Gillette came to the defense of a plus-size model after featuring her in a Twitter post that resulted in a lot of negativity. The Proctor & Gamble company tweeted a photo of lifestyle blogger Anna O’Brien getting splashed by waves on the beach. The post was from the account of the Boston-based company’s “Venus” line of razors, a brand geared toward women. The post prompted “a stream of derogatory reactions and people who harassed and body-shamed the model,” according to the Boston Globe.
