Ancestry.com Pulls Racially Charged Ad

Ancestry.com has apologized and taken down links to an online ad that showed an interracial Southern couple discussing fleeing to the North during the Civil War. “Critics of the ad said that it whitewashed history, inaccurately portraying the rape of slaves by slaveowners as a consensual relationship,” per The Hill.
