In a partnership with digital publishing group Exact Editions, classical music magazine The Strad is taking digital subscriptions.

Available to individuals and institutions, the new offering includes over 60 fully searchable archived issues of the magazine. Digital issues are accessible across web, iOS and Android devices.

“The new possibility of digital subscriptions to the archive grants the publishers an opportunity for lucrative revenue,” managing director of London-based Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, stated.

Exact Editions product director Alex McLachlan called the magazine's coverage of the string instrument world "meticulous," noting new enhanced access to archives is "extremely valuable.”

The string-music-centric title was founded in 1890 and features news, commentary and analysis. Interviews and articles from musicians Anne-Sophie Mutter, James Ehnes and Hilary Hahn have appeared in its pages.
