Google expanded its book search service to 14 additional English-language domains--the UK, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Pakistan, American Samoa, Trinidad and Tobago,
Kenya, Jamaica, Mauritius, and Uganda--the company said this week. In a statement, the company also said it would resume scanning in full collections of libraries--including copyrighted works--Nov. 1.
Google previously suspended its scans of books still under copyright protection.
