Apple Wednesday announced two new portable music product launches--a thinner version of the iPod Mini, the iPod Nano, which will replace the Mini in Apple's product line, and the Motorolla Rokr, a
phone that can play digital music, including tracks downloaded via Apple's iTunes. In the past, however, MP3 owners haven't embraced digital downloads. Just one in five -- 22 percent -- of digital
music player owners in the United States have purchased music online, according to a recent study by Tornoto-based Solutions Research Group.
