Keith Hontz Named CEO Of SocketLabs

Email delivery firm SocketLabs has elevated its chief revenue officer Keith Hontz to the title of CEO, effective Monday. Hontz takes over from John Alessi, the company founder, who will remain as a strategic advisor after serving as CEO for 12 years.

Hontz is credited with driving in new business in his first 100 days as CRO, and in forging a strategic relationship with SAP as an SAP PartnerEdge partner. This includes launching a SAP App Center listing for SocketLabs Email Service for SAP Marketing.

Hontz served as global vice president at SAP for over two decades, working in consulting, pre-sales, product management, sales and sales leadership.

Prior to that, he spent six years at DuPont Information Systems as a project manager working on CRM database marketing and related systems.

Hontz has been tasked with increasing market share and “leading the next phase of business growth,” he states.

He hopes to provide SocketLabs with “an extensive network of beneficial relationships, sales leadership tools, organizational management strategies and best practices for business development as it pertains to cloud computing,” he adds.

SocketLabs describes itself as a B2B technology firm that provides SaaS and on-premise tools that facilitate transactional and marketing messages.
