Group Nine has revealed its updated executive leadership team following its acquisition of Popsugar earlier this month.
The newly aligned team includes members of Popsugar leadership in addition to talent from Group Nine.
Brian Sugar, founder-CEO of Popsugar, has been named president of Group Nine. Lisa Sugar will continue in her role as president of Popsugar.

Ben Lerer will continue as CEO of Group Nine.
Sean Macnew, CFO-COO of Popsugar, will become Group Nine’s Chief Financial Officer.
Geoff Schiller, who is currently Chief Revenue Officer of Popsugar, will take on the same role at Group Nine.
Executive vice president, product marketing and sales strategy at Popsugar Chris George will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Group Nine.
Group Nine leadership, including Chief Brand Officer Suzanne Kolb, Chief People Officer Annie Trombatore and Chief Communications Officer April Mellody, will continue in their respective roles for the combined company.

Through the combined companies, Group Nine claims it will now reach 50% of the overall U.S. population and 70% of U.S. millennials.
Lerer noted at the time of the acquisition that the addition of PopSugar “hugely expands our reach within an important demographic, bringing us… a company with the proven ability to diversify its revenue across premium advertising, affiliate, direct-to-consumer commerce, licensing, and experiential channels.”
The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks.
